The Latest & Greatest in Creating Your Awesomeness!
If you're fortunate only a couple of these apply. But usually people can tick at least 3 of these off on their lists. "And what's wrong with that?" you ask. Nothing really, except that you walk around with that giant mug that could harness 6 coffees and is emblazoned with "I hate mornings". Perhaps this is an exaggeration, but how good would it be if you loved mornings? Assuming I've gotten to bed in good time the night before, I love mornings, and this is coming from someone who really hated mornings for so many years I worked afternoons in order to rise at the very moderate hour of 1:00pm if I so chose.
So let's look at a few things you can do to renew your mornings in order to make your day excellent and the success you imagine could happen, but often seems to flop.
First: know that your mind and mood is highly influenced in your first half hour of being awake. So, the news, facebook (it could be all great but it's a real gamble), and anything that stresses you out (emails, traffic) are best avoided.
Second: have a plan or routine that serves your day. You may have to get up earlier in order not to be in traffic within a half hour of rising, that probably also means there's a rush in the morning to get out the door anyhow, so find a few minutes to make it a little more chilled out.
Third: Excel! The first couple steps will make your mornings far more enjoyable, even if you prefer not to hit the hay a few minutes earlier in order to rise earlier, you're probably feeling better about mornings. But now is time to love them! Dedicate as little as 5 or as much as an hour to activities that not only keep your mind in a neutral undisturbed state, but into a positive, productive and creative state. Drink some water* and rehydrate after all night without water. Deep breathing*, meditation, yoga, stretching, a run or cycle, visualization, affirmations, prayer and mantra are all wonderful ways to train your brain in the direction you want your day to go. Try just one or two and commit to a daily practice of X number of minutes for the next month and see if you not only like mornings, but they may become your new favourite time of day.

I'm also raising funds for The Ride to Conquer Cancer, the minimum funds to raise in order to ride is fairly hefty. And so KarMassage (Karma Massage) is born.
