Tip #1 not so sneaky: add a side salad to your meal(s), combined with tip #2 you're set and only had to endure some salad as oppose to making a meal of it (which is a big-time complaint I hear frequently).
Tip #2 pretty sneaky: add greens to things you might not normally think of. A bit of spinach blended into a pesto, or hummus, or bean dip, is barely detectable Baby arugula is highly detectable, but it's awesome in a pesto sauce. Toss greens into soups, marinara and other pasta sauces (yes, pasta sauces, because I say don't eat too much pasta, but then most people do it anyway. I know it really is the good stuff, so: not a green but worth mentioning zucchini makes a wonderful pasta substitute ;). Of course don't forget that greens can be snuck into smoothies without detection fairly well too.
Tip #3 very very sneaky: beet, radish and turnip/rutabaga greens are edible, and lovely steamed, braised, or sauteed. They're so sneaky you didn't even know you could eat them and that you"steal" them from the grocery store when you buy their roots! Technically they are free: you're getting 2 veggies for the price of one! In some parts of the southern states the turnip/rutabaga is the garbage part and the greens are what people buy, go figure! Don't stop there with trying new greens though, there are some that don't come two for one but offer a nutrient-rich punch new flavours; this is the last week for local Ontario callaloo, FYI, and it's one I love to sneak in!
