So often we have heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and while this is mostly true, I beg that beauty is not only in the eye. As we know that there are some folks who while they may not carry classical physical beauty are truly beautiful people, additionally, and more to my point today, beauty can also be felt
You know when you actually look good and are ready to hit the town, but also those times you just feel beautiful/handsome/confident with no particular occasion, special outfit or hairdo to feel such? If you don’t, you certainly need to get your fitness on, and that’s my point today. Nothing has done more to boost the confidence, esteem, and feelings of beauty for myself or those I know than exercising. Experiencing improvement not only in physique, but feeling beautiful from the strength, will, focus, commitment, and determination towards self-care, a goal, your health, and feeling awesome—the character builders—that come from a fitness routine or sport, that other aspects of life simply don’t offer in quite the same way at once (although volunteering and contributing to a cause outside yourself brings a similar, equally beautiful, but different feeling. Off topic, I know, but had to put that point in).
Prior to achieving exceptional weight loss, gigantic muscle gains, serious endurance or flexibility, fitness makes you feel beautiful. It builds on your inner beauty in ways one must experience, it cannot be described, and your body will be forever grateful for it. Isn’t it time you find the time to feel beautiful every day?

Grilled Asparagus with Parmesan
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
2tbsp Olive oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
Large pinch of salt
1 lb asparagus
Pepper to taste
Block of fresh parmesan or romano cheeses
1. Clean and snap off rough ends of asparagus. Whisk together first four ingredients. Add asparagus to mixture coating it (in a bowl, shallow pan or Ziploc bag) and allow to marinate at least an hour.
2. Preheat grill to 400F and grill asparagus for about 5 minutes turning every minute or so . Allowing to brown a bit, but no charring.
3. Sprinkle with shaved parmesan and fresh ground black pepper to taste. OOOOOMMMMM Nom Nom!
